China’s Jan-Jul steel imports grow further, up 49% on year

China’s finished steel imports totaled 9.9 million over January-July, up 49% on year, which was much higher than the 26.1% on-year rise for the first half of 2020 due to the record high import volume in July, Mysteel Global understood from the latest statistics from the country’s General Administration of Customs on August 7.
