CEC: China's wind, solar power capacities jump by Sept


The Chinese central government's commitment to accelerate the construction of wind and solar power generating capacities has seen installed power capacities fuelled by the two 'green' energy forms connected to the state grid jump by 32.8% and 24.6% on year respectively by the end of September, according to data from China Electricity Council (CEC) published on October 22.
By the end of last month, China's total installed power capacity had risen by 9.4% on year to 2.29 billion kW, with the growth being strongly supported the fast commissioning of wind and power generators, according to CEC data. The country's total installed power capacity fuelled by non-fossil energy grew
