DAILY: Chinese coke market stable after price cut

Chinese coke market remained stable on October 25 following a latest round of price cut of Yuan 50-55/tonne ($7-7.7/t). While uncertainties are surrounding in the market and some market participants doubt whether the stability will last, as steel mills in China are feeling the pressure of tepid steel market.

On Friday, China's national composite coke price under Mysteel's assessment remained unchanged on day at Yuan 1,788.9/t including VAT. On the same day, the spot price of rebar in China saw a slight increase after easing for eight consecutive days, with China's national price of HRB400E 20mm dia rebar under Mysteel's
