DAILY: China's coking coal market still weak, caution remains

The Chinese market for coking coal extended the weak run on November 4, with buyers largely on the sidelines awaiting more clarity on China's new stimulus measures during the country's week-long legislative meeting over November 4-8.

Mysteel's assessment of the national composite coking coal price came in at Yuan 1,492.6/tonne ($210/t) including the 13% VAT on Monday, marking a drop of Yuan 5.4/t from last Friday. However, the opening of the NPC Standing Committee Session yesterday had briefly lifted market sentiment. For example, the most-traded coking
