DAILY: China's rebar market strengthens on broad optimism

China's rebar prices in the spot market rallied on November 5, mainly as broad optimism from the macro-economic front floated the futures prices of major ferrous commodities in the country.

Mysteel assessed China's national price of HRB400E 20mm dia rebar at Yuan 3,604/tonne ($507.2/t) including 13% VAT on Tuesday. This marked a Yuan 20/t increase, breaking a consecutive decline that began last Monday. In the rebar futures market, the most-traded January contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw larger gains, rising by Yuan
