DAILY: China's coking coal market remains weak with price falls

The Chinese coking coal market continued to show weakness on November 20, with both spot and futures prices softening. Participants, despite awaiting more favorable policies to bolster demand, were generally bearish about the near-term market direction.

On Wednesday, the national composite coking coal price index under Mysteel's assessment came in at Yuan 1,403.4/tonne ($193.8/t) with VAT, down by another Yuan 7.3/t on day. The index has been falling straightly from Yuan 1,582.7/t on October 14, marking a cumulative drop of 11.3%. In the spot market, downward
