Outlook:
The precursor prices were stable last week. Meanwhile, the overall transactions on the spot market were still poor, and the cathode factories only purchased the spots on rigid demand, and most transactions were donated by long-term arguments. Moreover, the precursor production in November is expected to have reduced as some precursor producers were worried about possible order defaults.
The prices of ternary cathode materials were little changed. The demand from end-market was poor as the market was in the traditional off-season, forcing the cathode factories to maintain low operating rates, apart from the CATL supply chain. Although the demand in the e-bike battery market was active, the competition on the market was still intensive. It's likely that the prices of ternary cathode materials may be weak in the future.
