DAILY: Sentiment cools in China's met coal market

After a short stimulus from the macro front, sentiment in the Chinese metallurgical coal market cooled down again on December 11, alongside more negative signs emerging from domestic steel markets and ferrous derivatives.

The national composite coking coal price under Mysteel's assessment came in at Yuan 1,360/tonne ($187.3/t) including the 13% VAT on Wednesday, dipping by another Yuan 3.2/t from a day prior. The same day, domestic steel billet prices ceased a two-day uptrend, with the Tangshan square billet price assessed by Mysteel
