China spot LNG delivery price averaged Yuan 4,675/tonne as of January 2, down Yuan 9/tonne from the previous trading day, according to OilChem.
Imported LNG ex-terminal prices stood at Yuan 4,616/tonne today, down Yuan 23/tonne from the previous trading day, according to OilChem. The prices fell as some terminals in South China lowered the prices to promote the shipment, but the transactions were still lackluster.
LNG sales volume by truck at coastal terminals was 39,585 tonnes on the previous trading day, down 14.28% from the last trading day. In detail, the sales volume was 17,325 tonnes in East China, down 6.57%, 8,232 tonnes in South China, down 28.21%, and 12,474 tonnes in North China, down 15.74%, according to OilChem data.
Domestic LNG prices are expected to fall with the demand in the vehicle sector falling further approaching the Chinese New Year holiday.
