WEEKLY: Chinese coke plants' stocks climb, output rises slightly

Over December 27-January 2, stocks of metallurgical coke at the 230 Chinese independent coke manufacturers that Mysteel regularly tracks rose to an eight-month high while coke output crept up at a slower pace compared to the prior survey week.

As of January 2, total stocks of coke held by the 230 coke makers had climbed by another 19,400 tonnes or 4% on week to 506,800 tonnes, according to the latest survey.
