DAILY: China's rebar price falls for 3rd day as tariff tension escalates

China's rebar prices continued to weaken in both physical and derivatives trading on Tuesday, with concerns over looming U.S. tariffs further aggravating market sentiment, Mysteel Global learned.

On Tuesday, Mysteel's assessment showed that China's national HRB400E 20mm dia rebar price declined by Yuan 20/tonne ($2.8/t) from Monday to Yuan 3,419/t, including the 13% VAT. The downturn was more evident in the futures market, as the most-traded May rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange fell by a marked Yuan 37/t, or 1.11%, from
