In addition, the Index aims at facilitating market players' decision making and inventory management by improving market transparency, while mitigating the production and operational risks brought by fluctuations in lithium carbonate prices.

- Product specification: Lithium carbonate meeting standards of GB/T 11075-2013 Lithium Carbonate, GB/T 23853-2022 Brine Based Lithium Carbonate, and YS/T 582-2013 Battery Grade Lithium Carbonate
- Covered regions: major transaction areas of lithium carbonate in China
- Price type: tax included, delivered to the buyer's, wire transfer
- Samples: transaction prices, bids/offers, and feasible prices
- Unit: yuan/tonne
- Minimum transaction volume: 1 tonne
- Minimum transaction unit: Yuan 500/tonne
