FLASH: Pilbara plans to build a lithium salt smelter with Ganfeng Lithium

It is reported that Pilbara plans to jointly build a lithium salt smelter with Ganfeng Lithium Industry (with an annual production capacity of 32,000 tonnes LCE for lithium carbonate and/or lithium hydroxide, and an annual purchase of 300,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate from Pilbara). The feasibility study is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2025, with the investment decision followed in the second quarter for a 50:50 joint venture.
