In July 2024, China's ternary precursors production totaled 70,300 tonnes, a rising of 11.7% month on month and a year-on-year decrease of 11.34%. In August, some top-tier battery cell enterprises began to build stocks in advance, driving the rising demand in July but also overdrawing that of in August. Therefore, the production scheduling of ternary cathode materials in August was basically flat compared with that in July.
The estimated production of China's ternary precursors in August 2024 is 71,300 tonnes, with an increase of 1.48% MoM and a decrease of 9.64% YoY.
