Colombian coal exports in July recover

Total coal exports from Colombia, the world's sixth-largest coal exporter, recovered during July from the 10-month low recorded in June, jumping by 127% on month to reach 8.53 million tonnes, the latest data from the National Administrative Department of Statistics of Colombia (DANE) show.

The July total was the highest since January 2020 and also higher by a substantial 70.6% from the same month last year, the data show. The result took the total export value of the commodity to $886 million that month, jumping by 92% from June, according to the data. Colombia
