China's lithium hydroxide production stood at 21,400 tonnes in October, down 1.6% MoM. Soft demand for ternary precursor led smelters to adjust production based on orders, while upstream suppliers showed a firmer stance on pricing. The overall production slightly decreased but remained on schedule.

It is likely that China's lithium hydroxide production will fall 5.8% MoM at 20,500 tonnes in November. Smelters are expected to keep operating at low rates, with some planning end-of-year maintenance, which is likely to result in a further slight decline in production.
