S Africa's Exxaro expects a 34% jump in coal exports in 2024

Exxaro Resources Limited (Exxaro), a leading coal mining group in South Africa, expects its coal exports this year to jump by 34% from last year to reach 6.85 million tonnes, according to a latest forecast report released on its website.

The latest prediction for 2024 represents a 4% upward revision compared with the firm's earlier forecast at 6.58 million tonnes stated in its interim report, while the updated forecast of a 34% rise in coal exports this year also beats its previous forecast for a 23% rise, Mysteel Global
