Indonesian coal exports hit record high in October

Indonesia's coal exports to all destinations worldwide hit a record high of 51.6 million tonnes in October, marking a 5.9% rise from the year earlier, according to the latest data released by Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The volume was also 8.1% higher than in September and marked the fourth successive on-month rise, the same data show.

In October, China was once again the leading destination for Indonesia's coal exports, with arrivals that month reaching 26.42 million tonnes, up significantly by 42.2% on year and 26.1% on month.
