Specifically, Anhui Xinjiyuan Technology Co., Ltd. plans to implement its new project in three phases. Phase I plans is to invest Yuna 500 million to build a 135,000-tonne retired lithium-ion battery recycling and dismantling system; The second phase plans to invest Yuan 500 million to build a 100,000-tonne lithium containing material resource recycling system; The third phase involves an investment of Yuan 2 billion, with the goal of building a recycling project that can process 400,000 tonnes of lithium containing materials annually. After the project is fully operational, it can achieve an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes of battery grade lithium carbonate, with an annual output value of over Yuan 8 billion.
On May 1st 2023, the first phase of the project officially started construction. At present, the first phase of the investment plan has been exceeded. The warehouse has already stored thousands of tonnes of retired lithium-ion batteries, and it is expected to start trial production on the 28th of this month.
