China's lithium ore imports rose 0.37% month on month and 15.09% year-on-year to 487,000 tonnes in December, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.
Imports from Australia reached 303,800 tonnes, up 1.2% from the previous month and 5.5% year-on-year. Meanwhile, imports from Zimbabwe dropped to 94,100 tonnes, down 20.4% month-on-month and 2.3% year-on-year.
Moreover, China's total lithium ore exports reached 5.5624 million tonnes from January to December 2024, up 26.0% year-on-year.
