According to the latest news on February 28th, the second phase of the AESC Cangzhou Battery Super Factory project started construction in Cangzhou City, Hebei Province.
The second phase project has a planned annual production capacity of 20 GWh, covering core battery industry chain links such as electrodes, cells, modules, and battery packs. Focusing on global customer demand, it produces high-quality power and energy storage zero-carbon battery products, and is expected to be put into operation in 2026.
The previous phase I of the project, with a capacity of 10 GWh, was successfully put into operation in November 2024. The first batch of ternary lithium battery products were successfully produced and delivered to overseas customers, achieving "mass production and export".
The second phase of the project, was signed on December 29th 2024 and was completed in just two months. After the completion of the first and second phases of the project, AESC Cangzhou Battery Super Factory will become the largest lithium battery base in the North China, with an expected annual output value of Yuan 20 billion.
