It is reported that the project has a single building area of 230,000 square meters and is equipped with four internationally leading new energy battery super production lines and intelligent manufacturing equipment. The annual production capacity will reach 25 GWh of EV power batteries. The project officially started construction on October 21, 2024 and is expected to be put into operation in August 2025.
According to data, the Fuding Times lithium-ion battery production base is the largest single project of CATL's global layout, with an output value exceeding Yuan 100 billion. Among them, factories No. 1-5 cover an area of 2,932 acres, including battery buildings 1-3 and super battery buildings 4 -5, with a total investment of Yuan 22 billion. The total construction area of the first phase reaches 1.9 million square meters, with the construction of 4 battery cell factories, 3 module factories and supporting facilities, warehouses, canteens, dormitories, etc., providing about 10,000 job opportunities.
