Domestic production of iron ore concentrates among the 186 Chinese mining enterprises canvassed in Mysteel's regular survey increased overall during November 3-16 to average 506,500 tonnes/day, higher by 5,800 t/d or 1.2% on fortnight. Output in the country's northern regions grew slightly during the period, survey respondents explained.
During the same two weeks, the average concentrating capacity utilization rate among these miners also rose by 1.17 percentage points on fortnight to reach 64.87%, the survey showed.
