WEEKLY: China's iron ore port stocks drop to two-month low

Total imported iron ore inventories at the 45 Chinese ports included in Mysteel's survey declined to a two-month low of around 136 million tonnes during March 17-23, after thinning for the fourth consecutive week by another 782,200 tonnes or 0.6% on week, the latest survey showed. The volume was also 12% lower than in the same period last year.

For the six major iron ore ports in North and East China, iron ore stocks therein had decreased for the fourth week by 113,900 tonnes on week to 88.1 million tonnes by March 23, Mysteel's tracking showed. Over the latest survey period, the total iron ore discharged from the 45 ports averaged 3.03
