Hongmei is responsible for the English editorial of Mysteel. Based in Singapore, she manages a team of 11 market analysts in Shanghai who benefit from the extensive data available. She's been covering steel and nonferrous metals news and pricing since 2004. Hongmei has previously worked for Platts Metals & Steel News editorial for 6 years, FastMarkets as the Asian Senior Correspondent for 2 years, and Senior Correspondent for Metal Bulletin for 5 years.
She's got a Masters Degree of Mass Communication from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Bachelor’s Degree of English Literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University, China.
Vanessa is a freelance consultant who joined the team to spread the world about the awesome data available from Mysteel. After 7 years as Senior Product Marketing Manager at Metal Bulletin, Vanessa now runs her own marketing consultancy.
She's enjoyed a variety of roles since setting up - from data visualisation in publishing to user engagement in mobile gaming. She's got an MA in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge - very useful for all things metal.
Russ has been reporting on the steel and metals industries in Asia for over 35 years. He's worked for several Australian media organisations and set up Metal Bulletin's Tokyo office in the 1980s. Since 2005, he worked for SBB and Platts as Asia Editor, and has now joined Mysteel Global to lend his wealth of expertise to their growing team.
Russ is a professional writing graduate from the Sydney University of Technology.
