2026 (6th) New Energy Industry Annual Conference And Lithium-ion Battery Industry Conference

New Energy

The 6th New Energy Industry Annual Conference and Lithium Battery Industry Conference, hosted by Shanghai Ganglian E-Commerce Holdings Co., Ltd., co-hosted by Shandong Longzhong Information Technology Co., Ltd., and co-sponsored by Minmetals Futures Co., Ltd., will be held in Shenzhen from November 23 to 25, 2026.

Since the beginning of 2026, lithium prices have fluctuated downward after peaking at RMB 200,000/tonne in May, breaking below key levels as the cost center shifted lower and spot prices fell through some high-cost lines; profit compression has once again become the core operating variable across the industry chain. The ability to accurately assess price turning points and flexibly manage inventory and procurement timing has become the key to gaining the upper hand in profit distribution. Correspondingly, the distribution of profit between upstream and downstream segments of the industry chain has seen renewed imbalance and rebalancing. During the price upswing, the bargaining power of the resource end increased, while profits of the materials and battery segments remained under sustained pressure. The focus of industry chain competition is gradually shifting from pure scale expansion toward the ability to hedge and manage cost volatility.

The EV battery and energy storage markets are still growing, but the sources of incremental growth are shifting markedly. Exports have become a new growth driver, especially in the energy storage market; the growth of newly installed domestic capacity has slowed, while overseas and AIDC data-center energy storage are emerging as new increments. At the same time, sodium-ion batteries are moving from the mass-production validation stage toward gigawatt-hour-level delivery, entering the energy storage arena with a cost advantage. The opening up of overseas incremental space and the diversified evolution of technology routes are unfolding almost in parallel, presenting an energy storage market in which cost competition and technology-route competition are intertwined.

Globalization has moved from the stage of "whether to go overseas" to "how to land." The EU Battery Regulation is gradually shifting from an institutional framework to practical implementation, with carbon footprint, recycled materials, supply chain traceability, and data disclosure gradually forming a complete market-access system. What companies now face when going overseas is no longer just tariffs, but comprehensive competition across certification systems, supply chain security, and after-sales service capabilities.

Against this backdrop, the 2026 New Energy Industry Annual Conference will bring together technical experts from across the industry chain, upstream raw material and materials producers, and downstream end-user enterprises to jointly explore how companies can "reduce costs and improve efficiency internally, and cooperate for mutual benefit externally" in the new industrial cycle. Drawing on the price and capacity data accumulated by Mysteel and Oilchem over the long term, we will provide the industry with an objective and authoritative perspective, deeply analyze industrial development trends, and jointly seek a path of development that navigates cycles and delivers steady, long-term progress.
