WEEKLY: China mills’ steel stocks rise on thin demand

Stocks of the five major finished steel products held by the 184 Chinese steel mills monitored by Mysteel reversed up over November 19-25 as domestic demand cooled significantly during the period, according to Mysteel’s latest weekly survey.
The tonnage of the five major items comprising rebar, wire rod, hot-rolled coil, cold-rolled coil and medium plate held by the traders totalled 5.1 million tonnes as of November 25, up 1.4% on week and ending the sustained decrease that began in mid-October, the survey found.
