WEEKLY: China's lead prices dip on futures, less demand

Chinese spot prices of primary and secondary lead under Mysteel's assessment declined over April 6-13, owing to the fall-off in lead prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) and weakened demand among most lead-acid battery makers, according to market sources.

As of April 13, the national price of primary lead ingot (at least 99.994%) dropped to Yuan 15,313/tonne ($2,406/t) including the 13% VAT, down by Yuan 328/t on week, according to Mysteel's price tracking. By the same day, the average price of secondary lead (at least 99.99%) nationwide slipped by Yuan 125/t on
