Imported LNG ex-terminal prices stood at Yuan 6,053/t today, down Yuan 7/t from the previous trading day, according to OilChem. The prices dropped when the demand failed to be boosted after the temperature dropped extensively. But the heavy snow in North China hindered the transportation of LNG.
LNG sales volume by truck at coastal terminals was 26,775 tonnes on December 11, down 10.34% from the last trading day. In detail, the sales volume was 12,390 tonnes in East China, down 1.99%, 7,896 tonnes in South China, up 0.8%, and 5,943 tonnes in North China, down 31.48%, according to OilChem's data.
Domestic LNG prices dropped as the heavy snow resulted in accumulating in-plant stocks, in addition to the panic sentiment among the sellers.
