WEEKLY: China's coking coal market soft with mild price fluctuations

The Chinese coking coal market remained soft, and prices kept fluctuating moderately during December 2-6. The national composite coking coal price under Mysteel's assessment moved down by another Yuan 14.9/tonne ($2.1/t) on week to Yuan 1,370.6/t including the 13% VAT by December 6.

The market started last week with an upbeat note when coking coal sales showed signs of improving from previous sluggishness as some end-users and traders ramped up purchases at the beginning of the week, Mysteel learned from market sources. The prospect that more end-buyers would join the ranks of kicking
