DAILY: Chinese coke market stable, downward room exists

The outlook of China's metallurgical coke market remained unclear as of January 2, with some expectations emerging for another potential price reduction in the near future as the country's steel market stayed sluggish, market sources shared.

As of Thursday, China's national composite coke price under Mysteel's assessment was largely unchanged at Yuan 1,643.2/tonne ($224.6/t), including the 13% VAT, down by a tiny Yuan 2.1/t from Tuesday. Chinese steel mills began controlling delivery pace of coke cargoes from their suppliers near the end of this week, as
