WEEKLY SUMMARY: China's iron ore prices rise, spot coke stable

Iron ore prices in China's spot and futures markets both strengthened during January 13-17, partly supported by production recovery at some domestic integrated steelmakers. In the meantime, metallurgical coke prices held steady, but the downside risks emerged with some mills' new requests for coke price cuts effective this Monday.
