WEEKLY: China mills' imported iron ore stocks drop again

After a mild rise last week, inventories of imported iron ore sintering fines stockpiled at the 64 Chinese steel mills under Mysteel's regular monitoring declined again by 484,900 tonnes or 3.8% on week to 12.3 million tonnes as of February 26, Mysteel's latest survey results showed.

The recurring drop in the stocks of imported sintering fines among the sampled mills mainly reflected their larger consumption of the feedstock. The survey results also showed that the daily usage of imported ore sintering fines among these 64 mills rose combined at 561,000 tonnes/day on average during February
