MONTHLY: China's FeCr spot price surges, stainless mills remain cautious

China's ferrochrome (FeCr) market continued its upward trajectory over the past month, building on the initial recovery seen after the Chinese New Year holiday that ended on February 4. The surge was primarily driven by stronger support from the ore market and an easing oversupply situation. However, stainless steel mills remained unresponsive to the bullish sentiment in the ferroalloy sector, which dampened overall market confidence in FeCr.
