MONTHLY: China UHP graphite electrode prices seen falling in April

After falling significantly during the previous month, Chinese prices of ultra-high-power (UHP) graphite electrodes are expected to weaken further in April due to the potential decline in domestic electrode demand, according to Mysteel's recent report on the market.

By March 31, the composite price of 350mm diameter UHP graphite electrodes in East China's Jiangsu province had dropped by a large 8.8% on month to Yuan 15,500/tonne ($2,108/t), and that for 600mm electrodes also fell by 7.9% on month to Yuan 17,500/t, both excluding the 13% VAT, as
