China's aluminum scrap prices seen rebounding

After experiencing rapid declines during the past month in parallel with the slide in primary aluminum product prices, Chinese prices for aluminum scrap are expected to stabilize and rebound in coming weeks, driven by tight availability as well as the likely recovery in demand, Mysteel Global noted.

On April 16, for example, the average price of domestically-generated #6063 aluminum scrap in South China's Guangdong province was assessed by Mysteel at Yuan 16,100/tonne ($2,191/t), lower by 2.4% from a month earlier.
