DAILY: China's imported iron ore prices rise, sales slow

Chinese prices for imported iron ore in the portside and seaborne markets both rose on July 16. By contrast, buying activity in the two markets softened the same day.

On Wednesday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao edged up by Yuan 4/wmt ($0.6/wmt) from Tuesday to Yuan 759/wmt FOT and including the 13% VAT, almost a two-month high.
