DAILY: Chilling weather curbs China's demand for Indonesian thermal coal

Indonesian thermal coal prices came under downward pressure as Chinese demand softened amid cooling temperatures in the country's coastal regions, sources noted.

On August 26, September-loading Panamax cargoes of Indonesian 3,800 kcal/kg NAR coal reached $45.5/tonne FOB Kalimantan, unchanged from a day earlier, according to Mysteel's assessment. The 4,700 kcal/kg NAR grade with the same laycan and vessel size also stayed flat at $59.5/t. Market sources, however, warned that a downside trend
