WEEKLY: China's iron ore port stocks move up slightly

Inventories of imported iron ore stockpiled at China's major 45 ports under Mysteel's regular tracking totaled 138.5 million tonnes as of September 11, up by a slight 241,500 tonnes or 0.2% on week, according to Mysteel's latest survey results. Compared with the year-ago level, however, the portside inventories remained 10% lower.

Notably, the daily discharge volume of iron ore from these 45 ports increased significantly after slowing for three consecutive weeks.
