MYSTEEL: China's FeCr output dips in September

China's output of high-carbon ferrochrome (HC FeCr) held largely stable at 812,500 tonnes in September, despite a tiny decline of 0.17% on month. This is according to Mysteel's latest survey covering 177 domestic HC FeCr smelters representing 95% of domestic capacity. Compared to September last year however, the production was higher by a strong 3.5%.

Within the total, output in Inner Mongolia, China's primary production hub of the ferroalloy, reached 588,800 tonnes in September, registering an on-month drop of 2% but a surge of 11.4% on year, the survey results showed.
