DAILY: Chinese met coke makers initiate a fourth price hike

On November 7, major metallurgical coke producers in China initiated their fourth price hike since early October, only two days after steelmakers had agreed to pay Yuan 50-55/tonne ($7-7.7/t) higher for all met coke products from last Wednesday, as reported.

Last Friday, coke producers in North China's Hebei, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia, and East China's Shandong notified their steelmaker customers of a Yuan 50-55/t hike in their sales prices for all coke products, effective November 10.
