DAILY: Indonesian thermal coal prices stable, sentiment improves

Indonesian thermal coal prices held steady on November 17 despite the weak demand. Market participants remained broadly optimistic about the near-term outlook, citing a potential improvement in Chinese demand and the tightening supply conditions.

On Monday, Mysteel assessed Indonesian 3,800 kcal/kg NAR thermal coal at $52/tonne FOB Kalimantan, unchanged for five straight sessions.
