DAILY: China's met coke profits hit a 2-month high

China's metallurgical coke producers saw their profits notch the highest in more than two months, following recent retreats in their coking coal costs. However, pressures on coke makers' operations persisted, with steelmakers expected to push for price cuts on met coke soon.

According to Mysteel's survey of 30 merchant coke makers across the country, the producers were earning an average of Yuan 46 ($6.5) on each tonne of coke they sold as of November 27, higher by Yuan 27/t from the previous week and marking the highest level since early September. Recent
