DAILY: Chinese imported iron ore prices rebound, port trading rises

China’s imported iron ore prices largely rebounded on December 1 for both portside stocks and seaborne cargoes, recovering from the declines seen during the previous working day. However, buying activity diverged in the two markets.

On Monday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao rose by Yuan 3/wmt ($0.4/wmt) from last Friday to Yuan 800/wmt FOT including the 13% VAT, while Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines increased by $1.3/dmt on day to $106/dmt CFR Qingdao.
