DAILY: China's rebar prices wobble, spot sales retreat

China's rebar prices in both spot and futures markets edged down slightly on December 5, while spot transactions for construction steel items including rebar retreated again amid flagging trading sentiment later that day.

Mysteel assessed the national price of HRB400E 20mm dia rebar at Yuan 3,326/tonne ($470/t) including the 13% VAT last Friday, inching down by Yuan 1/t from the day prior. One steel mill in North China lowered list prices for its long steel products by Yuan 20/t on Friday, Mysteel noted.
