The nickel ore market remained quiet yesterday, with no finalized transactions. Downstream nickel pig iron (NPI) prices showed some recovery. As domestic Chinese plants generally need to build inventories before the upcoming new year, their price-bargaining stance on raw material ore procurement may ease. In Indonesia, overall nickel ore prices experienced a decline.SHFE nickel futures prices edged lower yesterday, while spot trading of refined nickel was relatively active. Spot premiums for Jinchuan electrolytic and Huayou resources saw slight increases, while premiums for other company brands remained largely stable.
