DAILY: Chinese imported iron ore prices retreat, trading surges

China’s imported iron ore prices largely retreated for both portside stocks and seaborne cargoes on December 11, while buying activity surged in the two markets.

On Thursday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao declined by Yuan 7/wmt ($1/wmt) from Wednesday to Yuan 784/wmt FOT including the 13% VAT, marking for a one-month low.
