Recently, transactions were concluded in the nickel ore market. In the Philippines, a deal for Eramen 1.4% nickel ore from a northern mine was finalized at FOB $40/wmt. Loading and shipment operations proceeded with relatively high efficiency.SHFE nickel prices traded with a firmer bias yesterday. Overall spot trading for refined nickel remained muted. Spot availability of Jinchuan resources stayed tight in the trade channel, leading to cautious procurement by traders amid high premiums. However, the producer's direct sales to downstream consumers saw solid order flow, pushing spot premiums for Jinchuan nickel higher. In contrast, spot supply of nickel from brands like Huayou was relatively ample, resulting in a slight decrease in their spot premiums/discounts.
