Steel Scrap Demand Inventory Price
Chinese prices for steel scrap rose steadily last week in tandem with the strengthening prices of finished steel and other steelmaking raw materials, the results of Mysteel's latest survey showed.
On January 9, Mysteel assessed China's composite steel scrap price at Yuan 2,402/tonne ($344.3/t), higher by Yuan 11.5/t or 0.5% from December 31, while the country's national spot price for HRB400E 20mm diameter rebar had increased by 0.4% to hover around a four-month high of Yuan 3,337/t, both including
