Recently, oil futures prices have been trading on a stronger note, supported by a bullish macroeconomic outlook and positive biodiesel-related news from Indonesia and the United States. However, prices retreated during the overnight session, likely due to market speculation about potential easing in Indonesia's B50 policy. In the spot market, trading volume saw a slight decline yesterday, with purchases primarily driven by rigid demand. Yesterday's soybean auction recorded a 100% clearance rate at relatively high prices, with the bulk of the volume secured by foreign-invested enterprises. This has alleviated supply shortage concerns for February and March. Nevertheless, the high procurement costs and the ongoing tight supply of soybean oil, particularly in Guangxi and Guangdong, persist. In the Sichuan-Chongqing region, prices in Chengdu remain inverted, and inland prices are expected to stay firm in the short term.
